  • The SOMO apricot tree grows moderately vigorously. It forms a spherical well-branched crown. It grows on the St. Julien rootstock, it is a medium growing rootstock. It is also suitable for heavy clay and moderately moist soils. The tree is 70 % mature on this rootstock.
  • Flowering depends on the location and climatic conditions. However, most often in April . The SOMO apricot is self-pollinating.
  • SOMO apricot produces medium-sized fruits (25-35 g). The skin is slightly hairy, dark orange in colour with a dotted, dark red cheek which covers 10-30% of the fruit depending on the intensity of sunlight. The dark orange flesh is juicy, slightly fibrous, sweet and tasty. The stones separate well from the flesh.
  • SOMO apricots can usually be harvested in the second half of August, about 3 weeks after the Early Orange variety.
