Helikon is a modern and visually appealing table grape variety originating in Hungary, valued for its reliability, high yield, and, above all, its beautiful appearance. Its main distinguishing feature is its large, conical bunches with unmistakable, very large and elegantly curved berries, which may resemble small croissants. The firm skin has a beautiful golden yellow to amber color, which is further enhanced in the sun. The taste is equally impressive, full, sweet and harmonious, with pleasantly crisp and juicy flesh, which often has a subtle muscat undertone when fully ripe. As a Hungarian variety, it is well adapted to Central European conditions, as evidenced by its high frost resistance and good resistance to fungal diseases, allowing it to be grown with minimal use of chemicals. The bush grows vigorously and has hermaphroditic flowers, so it is fully self-pollinating and reliably pollinated. It is an early to medium-early variety that ripens at the turn of August and September and produces regular and abundant yields. Helikon is therefore the ideal choice for gardeners looking for a reliable, fertile and undemanding vine that is not only a culinary but also an aesthetic gem in any garde
