New gift for Zaporizhia is a modern Ukrainian variety synonymous with grandeur. This vine is famous for its huge, showy bunches and attractive berries, which make it an absolute favorite among table varieties.
Its main advantage is its incredible size. Get ready for a harvest that will take your breath away – bunches commonly weigh between 800 and 1,500 grams, but with good care, specimens weighing almost two kilograms are not uncommon! The large, elongated berries have a beautiful white-yellow color and take on a delicate pinkish hue in the sun, giving them an irresistible appearance. Their taste is pleasantly sweet, harmonious, and refreshing, with fleshy and juicy pulp ideal for direct consumption by the whole family.
In addition to its impressive appearance, Nový Podarok Zaporožiu is also extremely easy to grow. It is one of the very early varieties, so you can enjoy its sweet berries as early as the first half of August. In addition, it is characterized by very good resistance to major fungal diseases, which means less worry about chemical sprays. It also excels in its high frost resistance down to -24 °C, making it a reliable choice for gardeners in various climatic conditions.
To achieve a rich harvest, it is important to know that this variety has functionally female flowers and is therefore not self-pollinating. In order to produce its beautiful, full clusters, it needs to have another variety of vine nearby (ideally within a few meters) that blooms at the same time and serves as a pollinator. Without it, the clusters would be sparse and the harvest minimal.
Suitable pollinators: Varieties such as Arkadia, Preobraženie, Lora, and other commonly grown varieties have proven to be reliable partners.
