Sweet Cherry (Prunus avium) 'Krupnoplodnaya'

A Ukrainian variety with enormous, marketable fruits.

'Krupnoplodnaya' is one of the most valuable and widespread commercial cherry varieties in Ukraine, whose name translates to "large-fruited." It fully lives up to its name thanks to its exceptionally large fruits (10–18 g) with firm, crisp flesh and excellent transportability. Due to its high frost hardiness, stable yields, and good disease resistance, it is a professional-grade variety that will also deliver excellent results in a home garden.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Exceptionally large fruits: One of the largest cherries available, weighing 10 to 18 grams.
  • High and stable productivity: Delivers a reliable and abundant harvest every year.
  • Firm and crisp flesh (bigarreau type): The fruits are firm, juicy, and have a delicious taste.
  • Excellent transportability: The fruits do not bruise easily and handle shipping well.
  • High frost hardiness and good resistance: Resistant to frost and common diseases.
