'Oda' (Ода) is a Ukrainian plum variety with less vigorous to medium growth. It is valued for its large fruits with a very good, sweet-tart flavour with spicy notes, its early entry into bearing, and high yield. It is also characterized by high resistance to frost and fungal diseases.

• Registration: Included in the State Register in 2000.

Variety Characteristics

Tree

• Growth: Less vigorous to medium-vigorous, grows to a height of approximately 2.5 m.
• Crown: Globular, drooping, medium density.
• Flowering: Late April to early May.

Fruit

• Size and weight: Large, with a weight of 40 – 50 g.
• Shape and colour: Oval. Purple-burgundy to purple-brown, with greenish spots and a strong waxy bloom.
• Flesh: Yellow (amber), tender and juicy.
• Flavour: Very good, sweet-tart, with spicy notes (rating 4.6/5).
• Stone: Small to medium-sized, easily separable from the flesh.
• Use: Versatile.

Resistance and Requirements
