Apricot (Prunus armeniaca) 'Pinkcot®'

Very early French variety with large fruits and high frost resistance.

'Pinkcot®' is an attractive and reliable early apricot variety that has gained popularity due to its large and firm fruits with a distinct red blush. It is known for its high and regular yield (requires thinning) and excellent frost resistance in wood and flower, making it suitable for higher altitudes.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Large to very large fruits (up to 80 g) with firm flesh.
  • High frost resistance during flowering (reliable crop).
  • Early ripening (mid-July).
  • Excellent disease resistance.
  • Fruits tolerate transport well.

  • Vigor: Medium strong, easily shaped. The crown spreads with bearing.
  • Yield: Early onset, bears very richly and regularly. Requires annual fruit thinning.

  • Shape and Color: Round. The skin is matte, yellow-orange, covered with intense red color on approx. 50% of the surface.
