Family Apple Tree (4 in 1): Auksis + Dace + Lobo + Antejs

A unique fruit tree combining top Baltic, Canadian, and Belorussian varieties. Enjoy a rich harvest from early September until late spring.

1. Apple 'Auksis' (Autumn Variety)

The most beloved apple in the Baltics! A gold-medal variety with a fantastic sweet-sour flavor that kicks off the harvest in early September.

The 'Auksis' variety is a Lithuanian legend (crossed from 'McIntosh' x 'Gravensteiner') serving as the absolute quality standard in the Baltics. It opens the autumn season on this tree, delivering exceptionally tender, juicy, and highly aromatic flesh.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Premium taste: Outstanding sweet-sour and refreshing (won a gold medal at Erfurt).
  • Long storability: Although picked in September, it lasts in the cellar until January or February.
  • Organic friendly: Resistant to scab, powdery mildew, and bark diseases.
Fruit and Harvest
  • Appearance: Large fruits (120 – 130 g), flat-round. Light yellow color with a carmine-red blush.
  • Harvest Time: Early September.
  • Yield: High and annual (being cross-pollinated, it greatly benefits from the other varieties on this tree).

2. Apple 'Dace' (Autumn to Early Winter Variety)

A large, attractive red apple with an intensive waxy bloom, ripening right after 'Auksis'.

The baton is smoothly passed to the modern Latvian variety 'Dace' (2009). It features a compact growth habit and excellent branching. It is extremely productive, bearing heavily and regularly every year, with a natural crop self-regulation ability that ensures large fruits.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Large, sweet fruits: 70 – 100 mm in diameter, with a distinct sweetness.
  • No thinning required: The tree naturally regulates crop load, keeping fruits consistently large.
  • Resistance: Fully resistant to apple scab (Vf/Rvi6 gene).
Fruit and Harvest
  • Taste and Flesh: Creamy, medium-firm, dense, and juicy flesh (Brix 11–14%). The flavor is deliciously sweet.
  • Harvest Time: During September (approx. 1.5 weeks before 'Lobo'). Should not be left to overripen on the tree.
  • Storability: Keeps until January in standard cold storage, and until March in ULO.

3. Apple 'Lobo' (Autumn Variety)

Classic and highly popular Canadian apple with the taste of the famous 'McIntosh', juicy flesh, and stable yields.

The 'Lobo' variety is a proven Canadian seedling (1906) of 'McIntosh'. It is highly valued for its typical, balanced sweet-sour taste and juiciness. It complements the preceding varieties perfectly and brings classic quality.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Classic taste: White, very juicy, and aromatic flesh with McIntosh flavor.
  • Heavy crop: Bears regularly and abundantly as early as 2-3 years after planting.
  • Versatility: Excellent for fresh consumption, baking, cooking, and juicing.
Fruit and Harvest
  • Appearance: Medium to large fruits (70–85 mm). Light green to yellowish skin with a dark red overlay and waxy bloom.
  • Harvest Time: Late September to early October.
  • Storability: Good; keeps for 2 – 3 months (note, sensitive to bruising).

4. Apple 'Antejs' (Late Winter Variety)

The winter finale of this tree. Huge dark red apples with excellent flavor and storability well into late spring.

The fruit harvest is grandly completed by the Belarusian winter king 'Antejs' (Antey). It is an extremely productive variety (yields up to 55 t/ha) whose fruits possess high market value. The apples are firm, very tasty, and keep fresh in the cellar until May.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Excellent storability: Apples keep in the cellar from December to March, and up to May under optimal conditions.
  • Huge fruits: Large to very large apples (200 – 250 g) with an intense bluish waxy bloom.
  • Regular cropping: Very high yield; the mature tree bears reliably every year.
Fruit and Harvest
  • Appearance and taste: Raspberry-burgundy to dark red apples. The flesh is firm, fine-grained, juicy, and has a very pleasant sweet-sour taste (4.3 out of 5 points).
  • Harvest Time: Second half to late September. Eating maturity is reached after storage in December.
